Wadōkai Technical Seminar with Sasaki sensei

We are honored to host a Wadōkai Technical Seminar with Sasaki sensei in Joensuu on May 16-18^th 2025. Come and celebrate Joen Mawashi karate club’s 50^th anniversary with us at the seminar.

Dinner on Saturday

You are welcome to a dinner on Saturday at 20:30 at Bistro Heili restaurant (located on the Original Sokos Hotel Kimmel premises, Itäranta 1, 80100 Joensuu). The menu will have a few selected options to choose from (the restaurant will publish the menu later). Please let us know if you want to join the dinner by ticking the Saturday dinner option in the registration form (deadline April 30^th, 2025).

Getting to Joensuu from abroad

Perhaps the easiest way is to first fly to Helsinki-Vantaa international airport (HEL) and take a connecting flight to Joensuu airport (JOE). A train/bus or a rental car from Helsinki-Vantaa airport to Joensuu is also an option (takes about 4,5-5 hours).

Please note that the flight options to/from Joensuu are limited. A train from Helsinki-Vantaa airport is a good and affordable option (switch train at Tikkurila station). Search for train schedules and book tickets at www.vr.fi/en

JKF Wadōkai dan examinations (1^st – 3^rd dan)

Examination fee: 40 €

Registration fees to be paid upon passing the examination:
1^st dan: 70 € (includes Wadōkai membership fee)
2^nd dan: 60 €
3^rd dan: 65 €
